Marriage Licences

Independent Jewellers can prepare your marriage licence for you.

We would suggest that you call us to set up an appointment before you arrive so that the staff person that processes marriage licences will be on hand when you arrive.

Both persons getting married must be present and have the all the necessary documents to establish their eligibility for marriage. Remember:

• Each person must have two pieces of Identification.
• Widow or Widower must provide proof by way of newspaper clipping or certificate of death.
• If divorced you must present your Decree Absolute or Certificate of Divorce.
• You must have your licence a minimum of 24 hours before marriage is to take place.
• Your licence is good for 3 months from date of issue.
