The year was 1939, the Great Depression was just ending, Amelia Earhart became the first woman to fly solo from Hawaii to California, and Snow White had its first screening. It was also the year John H. Epp would sell his first Rolex. Independent Credit Jewellers was established on the corner of Notre Dame and Isabel in 1937 where it continues to be owned and operated by the same family.
